My condolences to all of Joan's family. Joan, often referred to as "Grannie," was a popular teacher at Laconia Middle School for several years. She was always available to help her students regardless of how much time was needed. She was also very popular among other teachers. Joan was always searching for different ways to make educating young people more meaningful regardless of the time needed. She was also known as a fun loving person and was very popular among other teachers. She was undoubtedly the most popular staff member during her years at the middle school. In tough times she could always be counted on to be upbeat and improve the situation. I was very fortunate to have been on the staff during her tenure and will alway regard her as the BEST. Again, my condolences to her family. Rod Weinberg, Center Sandwich, NH.
