Henry J. Agostinelli
FRAMINGHAM Henry J. Agostinelli, 91, a longtime resident of Framingham, passed away peacefully Wed. Nov. 29, 2017 at Carlyle House in Framingham. He was the beloved husband of Angela (Naticchioni) Agostinelli who passed in 2005. Born in Natick, he was the son of the late Claudio and Rose (Mantoni) Agostinelli and was a graduate of Natick High School. Mr. Agostinelli served 2 enlistments in the US Army during World War II before being honorably discharged after seeing action with the 17th Airborne Division in Europe. He returned home to start his career in insurance with Prudential, and later founded Agostinelli Insurance Agency in 1958 (now Agostinelli and Teller). He ran the agency for 45 years until retiring. He enjoyed golf and travel, but will be remembered by many for his quick wit and his love of entertaining people, often serving as an MC at retirement parties and private events.
Mr. Agostinelli is survived by his daughter: Paula J. Donahue and her husband Steven of Hyannis, 3 grandchildren: Michael Donahue & wife Shari of N.J., Christina Ahern & husband Dennis of Natick and Peter Gailiunas & wife Leslie of Texas; 5 great grandchildren and a sister: Teresa Muto of Framingham. He was the father of the late Rozanne Agostinelli and the brother of the late Frank, James and Adamo Agostinelli.
A visiting hour will be held Monday Dec. 4 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Boyle Bros. Funeral Home, 173 Union Ave., Framingham. A funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. at St. Tarcisius Church, 562 Waverly St., (Rte. 135) Framingham. Private burial with military honors will take place at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Falmouth on Tuesday Dec. 5.
