Obituary for William J. "Billy" Murphy
FRAMINGHAM - William J. "Billy" Murphy, 45, of Framingham, passed away suddenly and peacefully on Friday October 20, 2017. Billy was the son of Barbara (Nolan) Murphy and the late William P. Murphy.
He graduated from Keefe Tech and Mass Bay Community College. Billy suffered with spinal muscular atrophy-muscular dystrophy but did not allow his illness to stop him from enjoying life. Billy was a lover of pandas and had a vast collection. Billy enjoyed all of the Boston sports teams often sharing the experience with family and friends. He enjoyed watching game shows and connecting with people on Facebook. Anyone who knew Billy knew he shared his life with others-everyone knew him even though they may not have met him.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brother: James Murphy & his wife Jennifer of Marshfield, his sister Karen (Murphy) Nicholas & her husband Keith of Holliston, his nieces: Marissa Murphy and Shaughnaessey-Lynnea Nicholas, and his nephew: Jaegger-James Nicholas, and many close relatives and friends.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated Friday Oct. 27th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Linus Church, 119 Hartford St., Natick. Urn burial will follow in Edgell Grove Cemetery, Grove St., Framingham. There are no funeral home visiting hours.
