Dora was preceded in death by her husband, former Framingham Town Clerk Michael J. Ward, and her first husband: Walter Gladu; her son: Michael J. Ward, Esq., her youngest daughter: Judith Ann Ward Maguire, her daughter-in-law: Christina (Kit) Ward, brothers: Emile, Edmund, and Robert, her sisters: Jeannette Fannon, Irene Shaughnessy, and her youngest sister: Diane Mailhiot. She is survived by her son: George Ward of Weymouth, her daughter: Mary Lou Ward Pyburn & husband John of Medford, her brothers: Joseph Mailhiot & wife Dorothy of Franklin, Leo Mailhiot of Framingham, her sisters: Yvonne Bent of Hopedale, Louise Conner of Interlachen, FL and her sisters-in-law: Yvonne Mailhiot of Cape Coral, FL., and Audrey Ward of Queens, NY and her adored grandchildren: Devin and Gareth Ward, Sean, Patrick and Terry Maguire and Jennifer Pyburn. Dora had a wonderful career at the US Army Labs in Natick after which she lived in elderly housing at the former Hastings Elementary School on Cochituate Road in Framingham. She enjoyed living with old and new friends, especially her best pal, the late Margaret Sherman of Framingham. After a serious illness, Dora went into rehab at Mary Ann Morse and was eventually admitted into their long-term care program. Dora was much loved by staff and administration alike. She received exceptional care and was given to a favorite saying: "I don't want to be a bother;" the retort being "Dora, you're never a bother!"
