FRAMINGHAM, MA - Robert F. Oliver, 82, a lifelong resident of Framingham, passed away Friday, February 10, 2017 in to the loving arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was the beloved husband of Audrey M. (Ferragamo) Oliver with whom he shared 18 years of marriage. Born in Framingham, he was the son of the late Manuel and Deolinda (Silveira) Oliver. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children: William R. Oliver & his wife Wendy, Allison Sferrazza, and Suzanne Rothman & her husband Sean; his sisters: Lucille MacKinnon, Blanche Pearson & Lorraine Haley; five wonderful grandchildren: Alyssa Sferrazza, Trevor Oliver, Taylor Oliver, Lola & Haley Rothman, and many dear nieces and nephews. Robert was employed as an electrical engineer with Raytheon Corp. for 43 years, sometimes traveling to places such as the Netherlands and Germany. A Navy veteran during the Korean Conflict, he was one of the youngest 1st class Petty Officers at the time. He was very active in his beloved St. Tarcisius Parish in Framingham.
Visitation will be held Monday, February 20th from 12:30 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. in the vestibule of St. Tarcisius Church, 562 Waverly St., Rte. 135, Framingham. A funeral Mass will follow the visitation at 1:30 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in St. Tarcisius Cemetery.
