Andry Kokidko, 90, a Waltham native and Framingham resident since 1961, died peacefully Friday, January 6, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Melissa (Trofimov) Kokidko, to whom he was married for over 62 years.
Born and raised in Waltham, he was the son of the late Basil and Julia (Maneluk) Kokidko. Mr.Kokidko earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Northeastern University. A technical writer, he first worked for RCA then as an independent contractor in the field. He loved computers, anything technical, and all the latest technology and gadgets. He enjoyed attending high school and college reunions, and was a faithful and active member of Holy Annunciation Orthodox Church in Maynard. A true family man, he especially enjoyed babysitting all of his grandchildren and attending their activities, never missing a game or event. The family remembers many happy times together with Mr. Kokidko capturing the fun on his video camera.
In addition to his wife, Melissa, he is survived by their three children: Anna DuBey and husband Ken of Newburyport, MA, Gregory Kokidko and his companion Donna Jones of Hartford, CT, and David Kokidko and his wife Lisa of Holliston, MA; a sister Ellen Barlit of North Falmouth; 8 grandchildren: Jason DuBey and wife Laura, Laura Peura and husband Craig, Nina, Timothy and Tania Kokidko, and Steven, James and Emily Kokidko; and a great-grandson, Benjamin DuBey.
Visiting hours are Tuesday, January 10th from 4:00-8:00pm at Boyle Brothers Funeral Home, 173 Union Avenue, Framingham. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 11th at 10:00am in the Holy Annunciation Orthodox Church, 15 Prospect Street, Maynard. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery, Great Road (Rt 117) Maynard.
