Obituary for Louise E. (Seefried) Hazen
FRAMINGHAM: Louise E. (Seefried) Hazen, 86, a resident of Framingham since 1962, died peacefully Saturday Dec. 17, 2016 at St. Patrick's Manor. She was the beloved wife of the late William J. Hazen, Jr. who died in 2004.
Born in Buffalo and a graduate of Amherst High School in New York, Mrs. Hazen was homemaker but also worked for Fuller Brush and at Filene's Basement. In addition, she volunteered at the Red Cross and was a longtime active parishioner of both St. Jeremiah's and St. George's parishes. She traveled extensively with her husband and enjoyed family trips to Newport. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother who always put her family first and as a selfless, caring person who could brighten other's lives.
She is survived by her five children: Evelyn Narris & husband Dennis of Harrells NC, Sharon Baker & husband Randall of Three Rivers, Michigan, Barbara H. Bengtson & husband Scott of Hudson MA., William A. Hazen & wife Kathleen of Framingham and Brian J. Hazen & wife Suzanne of New Boston, NH; 8 grandchildren: Julie Hammett, Jordan Baker, Kristina Baker, Mary Hazen, Emma Hazen, Michael Hazen, Christopher Hazen & Daniel Hazen; 4 great grandchildren; a sister: Joan Acker of Orchard Park, NY and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours are Wednesday Dec. 21st, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Boyle Bros. Funeral Home, 173 Union Ave., Framingham. A funeral service will be held Thursday Dec. 22nd at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with burial to follow at Edgell Grove Cemetery, Grove St., Framingham.
